Filoop is all Music and a little technology
While currently delivering Tampa Bay area Brunch, Nightclub, Craft Brewery and Jazz Club venue vibes, many genres of Americana and World Music have been explored over the years and serve to influence these highly creative performances in surprising ways! A full Filoops show features a unique mixture of songs and styles to keep the Vibe flowing with the Groove and has a little something for everyone!
Themed Loop Performances in the past have included Caribbean, Swing Dance, Bluegrass, Jazz in several forms, Blues, Cajun and New Orleans music along with Holiday music such as St Patrick’s day Celtic music, Mardi Gras and Christmas themes. Choice Covers in many eras of Pop and World Music are also reimagined instrumentally for that familiar feeling from any age!
All these influences and more have lead to Original compositions using the Looper as a tool of expression and fullness in Sound. The Ambience is always remarkable! New recordings are coming soon and currently you can take a listen to Fil’s latest Single release anywhere online called “Onyx”. This track gives an example of Fil’s early writing and showcases his arrangements of added textures created by various stringed instruments and percussion.
A typical live setup includes acoustic Guitar,. Electric Bass Guitar, Mandolin and Percussion is created on the instruments.
Onyx features the use of an Octave Mandolin and Classical Guitar with various Percussion Instruments all played by Fil.

"It is SO much fun interpreting some of my favorite tunes from the wide range of genres that I enjoy and coaxing them into life using instrumental arrangements and a bit of technology! Guitar, Bass, Mandolin and light Percussion sounds on the guitar come together into a such a nice...feel-good sound!" ~Fil
