I perform my original instrumental music and a wide variety of world music using my loopstation, Acoustic Guitar, Bass, mandolin, various levels of percussion and on occaision samples from my ipad or laptop! I am always discovering new things with this project and I'm able to play a wider variety of music I may not get to put together with a full band! I also perform themed sets such as Gypsy Swing for Swing dancing events as well as Jazz, Blues, Celtic, Reggae, Carribean, Bluegrass and Latin styles along with select Pop covers from many decades!
FIl Pate Trio
FPT is where the mandolin gets to shine in an acoustic trio setting mostly with Upright Bass and Guitar, but lately banjo, dobro and cello have been some great additions! Exploring Newgrass, Jazz, Bluegrass, Old Time and Originals! This trio adds a modern flare to traditional tunes while drawing from many other influences to create a fresh and upbeat sound! It’s always a pleasure to make Acoustic Music!

Bobby Lee and I have become great friends as I have gotten to know him since 2007. I have been studying jazz with him and have been honored to play with several bands and projects Bobby has been involved with. Currently we are having a ton of fun playing Acoustic duo style with Mandolin, Guitars plus electric banjo and vocals! We have all sorts of original music between us the inspiration is flowing!

I have been performing with Shane Meade since 2005 and are going strong with duo, trio, acoustic band and full band performances throughout the southeast from Florida to West Virginia and beyond! We play soul-infused Southern folk rock with wonderfully shaped vocals and soaring explorations by the very talented members of the SOUND! From our intimate shows to the big festivals, we always bring a big warm feeling!

Playing great GW originals along with jazz, Dawg and bluegrass standards on Upright Bass, Guitar, Mandolin and Flute. There's always a banjo lurking around as well! I usually join when their mandolin player is travelin' or performing with his other project.
